* Goals:
Development of human resources for water supply companies in Central Vietnam, towards the Water Safety Plan (WSP) initiated through the strengthening of cooperation between relevant authorities including Ministry of Construction (MOC ), provincial people's Committees (PPC), Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association (VWSA), water supply companies and training organizations.
* Outcomes:
- Increase awareness of water supply companies on human resources management towards safe water supply through exchange of views and experiences;
- Develop retraining programs towards the overall plan to secure safe water supply plan in Hue branch, College of Urban Works Construction;
- Open short-term training courses at Hue campus, College of Urban Works Construction for the staff from water companies;
- Develop operation manuals in water treatment, water distribution management, human resources management and customer service for selected water supply companies through sharing experiences and know-how techniques of HUEWACO;
- Make use of operation manuals in the selected water supply companies;
- A pilot DMZ is founded in HUEWACO (remote monitoring water quality, pressure and quality) as a model for other water companies.
